Signal Garden is a calm surface over a GenLayer Intelligent Contract. The botanical language is strictly mapped to real contract state, by shape and label - never colour alone.
Seed
A planted claim and a public source are stored on-chain as a specimen - a seed.
Reading
On evaluation the contract fetches the source. Reading the open web is nondeterministic, so it runs in GenLayer's equivalence flow.
Consensus
Each validator independently reads the same source and decides supported, refuted, or undetermined. An outcome is stored only on agreement.
Growth
Supported → a bloom; refuted → a wilt; undetermined → a dormant bud. The growth metaphor mirrors real stored state and never runs ahead of it.
Limits
If the source can't be read or validators disagree, the specimen stays dormant - never guessed. The raw page is never stored; only the claim, source URL, outcome, and a short finding persist.
